Fixed Prices
One thing that is interesting is that prices often come pre-fixed in India. So, rather than put a tag onto the object, the price comes pre-stamped on the object. This is most common for pre-made food (i.e. biscuits (like shortbread cookies), water, peanut butter).
Things that are more expensive to buy in Varanasi than in the states:
- Peanut Butter
- Toilet Paper
