Indian Language(s)

A historical fun fact for anyone who is interested: before the colonization by the British, the Hindi language did not actually exist. It’s actually a combination of most northern Indian languages. Therefore, the local dialect here, Bhojpuri, is what most people speak. Although the dialect-gap for native speakers of Hindi is not that bad (i.e., native speakers can communicate with Bhojpuri-speakers enough for good communication), it is very bad for non-native speakers.
